This year Southern African Institute Of Steel Construction celebrates its 60th birthday and their 35th annual Steel Awards. In view of their history, the theme was nostalgia and the 60s.
For the videos, we chose a 60 year old car (59 and a half years old actually) to be the central motif that linked all the project entries together – a 1957 model Morris Minor 1000. The videos about each category and it’s winner feature the Morris traveling ‘down memory lane’ and ending up parking in front of the winning project. The Morris was on display at the Steel awards.
Of course since the venue only has a forklift tunnel for vehicle access it was tricky getting it inside!
The music was custom made according to the theme, as well as a custom colour grade.
